A big chunk of Leave voters in Cornwall were English 2nd home owners using their postal votes.

You are talking about affluent people from the South East? The most solidly remain group in the country. All my friends in London (predominately middle class professionals) are hard line leavers.

Also, you are alleging large scale electoral fraud. Funny no one spotted it before. Especially as it would be so easy to prove if people were registered to vote in two places.

Loads of people are registered to vote in 2 places, students for isntance. It is perfectly legal. It is only illegal to actually vote in both places. Currently, that is not easy to spot.

@Newchodge you are correct. However I would have thought that making applications to cast postal votes would leave a paper trail and it would arose suspicion. There are records of the numbers of postal votes cast at the very least. Are the numbers suspiciously high?

Then there is the underlying implausibility that a very pro remain group voted leave. If they did vote twice, it would have pushed the vote towards remain, not leave.

Don't NI businesses export all over the world? Don't businesses have to use electronic forms already? I have been in business for more than 40 years, dealing with changing rules and regulations and if I didn't want to sell my products or services in a certain place I looked for somewhere else.
Business isn't complicated, you are either determined to earn money yourself or you work for someone else.
It doesn't matter what happens politically - governments come and go, banks collapse and businesses fold. It is really time for business to get on with what it does the best TRADE with economies that can pay for services.
Oh and by the way the UK imports more than it exports

Yes, lots of islands import more than they export. We produce a lot, still in the top 100 manufacturing nations. Just have to import much of the material used to produce stuff to export.
Plus of course food and drink. Not being a big grower of coffee or tea.

Which means there is net foreign investment into the UK. Imports minus exports equals investment inflow plus increases offshore holdings of sterling. The last is much smaller than the others.

I think you accidentally added a zero there - we are in the top 10 though we have slipped a few places in the last 20 years or so.

No, people that don't know about our manufacturing appear to think we are bottom of the league tables. Instead of as you say in the top 10 for quite some time.
The top 10 is also in the top 100. :)
In other words, a major manufacturing nation.

Then write to the electoral commission and let them no about the problem, they can soon check where their home is and check if they voted twice as you have to get checked off to get a voting slip or have two postal votes which are recorder to avoid getting checked off, very simple checks
They ain't interested. Even when the MP asked. Even when one of their own asked.

For the first time Ever I suspect all NI MP's put their differences aside and tried to do something worthwhile for this wee country. But Alas as expected it was voted down. Anyone else from NI who exports to mainland found any useful info yet regarding moving forward and what could possibly be the procedures to ship to the mainland.
